很多工程級的設(shè)備的面板寬度都采用19寸，所以19寸的機柜常見的一種標準機柜。

　　標準機柜的結(jié)構(gòu)比較簡單，主要包括基本框架、內(nèi)部支撐系統(tǒng)、布線系統(tǒng)、通風(fēng)系統(tǒng)。19寸標準機柜外型有寬度、高度、深度三個常規(guī)指標。雖然對于19寸面板設(shè)備安裝寬度為465.1mm，但機柜的物理寬度常見的產(chǎn)品為600mm和800mm兩種。高度一般從0.7M-2.4M，根據(jù)柜內(nèi)設(shè)備的多少和統(tǒng)一格調(diào)而定，通常廠商可以定制特殊的高度，常見的成品19寸機柜高度為1.6M和2M。機柜的深度一般從400mm-800mm，根據(jù)柜內(nèi)設(shè)備的尺寸而定，通常廠商也可以定制特殊深度的產(chǎn)品，常見的成品19寸機柜深度為500mm、600mm、800mm。19寸標準機柜內(nèi)設(shè)備安裝所占高度用一個特殊單位"U"表示，1U=44.45mm。使用19寸標準機柜的設(shè)備面板一般都是按nU的規(guī)格制造。對于一些非標準設(shè)備，大多可以通過附加適配檔板裝入19寸機箱并固定。

The appearance of a 19 inch standard cabinet has three common indicators: width, height, and depth.
